Mr J is a self-proclaimed movie nerd whose world is filled with comic books and movie memorabilia. His work reveals a great affinity with rock musicians, Hollywood icons, and the mythology that surrounds them.

In an era where the distinction between icon and character is blurred, Mr J's bright, stylised artworks provide a gorgeous façade that hints at the intricacies beneath the mask of celebrity. His goal is to capture the vitality and peculiarities of his chosen subjects.

Mr J adores the concept of immortalising a moment or image. His finished pieces have textural complexity that elicits a tactile response from the observer.

Since early 2016, Mr J has been displaying his works and finishing multiple commissioned artworks through various galleries in the UK and overseas, having signed with Wishbone Publishing Ltd. This has resulted in enormous success and an increasing number of collectors around the country.

Mr J most recently collaborated with award-winning WGA author Nathan Brooks to illustrate a children's picture book. Exploring acrylics as well as diverse graffiti styles and mediums, he has created a unique portfolio of works based on their collaboration.
