The Accomplice or the ring-leader ? You're welcome to make up your own mind ! Arrested alongside Mary, Bert and his Penguin backing dancers were dutifully arrested for disturbing the peace. As Bert's first credible appearance in JJ's portfolio in his own right, fans of the movie will appreciate the subtly & humour of his mug shot - but most important for all consideration, is that the inclusion of Bert only increases the appeal of Mary's Police line up artwork as a natural pair. Some might not ideally find Bert their first choice for a new artwork acquisition - however, with both of these pieces hung side-by-side, Mary's own appeal only goes from strength to strength. Anyone not brave enough to purchase a pair, to hang together to tell the ending of their story (as JJ sees it) - should be arrested.
